I think we'll all be biased in this, because of nostalgia. I'd like to say the NES because I played the hell out of that thing (and also, blowing into carts adds something to the experience), but also SNES as the other system I had as a kid but Genesis as the system I played more (the SNES being at my dad's).

Becasue the dreamcas is the ultimate! The graphics are still awsome 12 years after launch. It was the first non pc to really do online games, arcade perfect ports, the only good 3D sonic game, an awsome homebrew community, and so much more!!

Eh. The graphics aren't as good as you remember and Sonic Adventure 2 is available in better form on the GameCube. That's half your reasons gone for me. I also hate the controller and the fact that it sounds like it's grinding my games to dust while it works. Seriously, is Robocop in there?

Ah... opinions...

My personal pick is the NES. It laid the foundations for so many games we still play today, and many of those incarnations were arguably better. There's something charming about what developers back then were able to work out of so little audio-visually speaking, but also when it comes to the 2 button gameplay.

Seriously my favorite.
