Is Manhunt 2 is worth all the attention? Could it be just another paint-by-numbers sequel trying to cash in on the controversy that surrounds it, or is it a well-put together stealth game that just happens to include ultraviolence?

All too often a 'role playing game' just means 'a game with experience points.' Alpha Protocol is different: it let me make many major choices to shape my path, and as a result I enjoyed the hell out of it. The combat had its issues, but on the whole I was spending my time not playing the game wishing I was, instead, playing the game.

The Devil's Playhouse has done an excellent job of mixing up the formula for Sam and Max, and that continues in They Stole Max's Brain! The over the top noir opening, reminiscent of Taxi Driver but with a shoeless dog driving instead, showcases everything that's right about this series.

Even though the game does have its flaws, it is still one of the best puzzles games you can find on Xbox Live Arcade. Trials HD is a solid title with a ton of replay value, and features some amazing motorcycle stunts that would make Evel Knievel proud.

It's odd that I should enjoy one half of a game so much while disliking the other so thoroughly. While Darwinia really wasn't my cup of tea, Multiwinia and the presentation in general (watch the 'boot loaders' before the main menu) make up for much of that lost ground.
