Extra Guy is a site about games. It used to be called Gaming Shenanigans but then they got tired of typing that out.

The site itself started out as the product of two guys, Dan and Dave. They’re related now, but for years they were just two dudes who hung out and talked about video games. After running a Halo podcast (Wikiriot, then The Riot, then The Shenanicast) for a few years they decided to broaden their scope.

Anthony came on board after a bit, which was fitting as he got the two of them into both Halo and video game journalism. He brought in Keith and it was a rollicking good time. Entropy and other real life issues have claimed the founders, but they’re still around when they can be. Anthony now sits atop a mound of enthusiastic staff writers, setting a course directly for awesome.

If they have one thing going for them, it’s a passion for what they do. This is a hobby, and it’s fun, and they’re dedicated to having fun playing and writing about games. Hopefully they’ll give you inspiration on what to do to have fun as well.
