Extra Guy is a site about games. It used to be called Gaming Shenanigans but then they got tired of typing that out.

The site itself is the product of two guys, Dan and Dave. They’re related now, but for years they were just two dudes who hung out and talked about video games. After running a Halo podcast (Wikiriot, then The Riot, then The Shenanicast and now Gaming Shenanigans) for a few years they decided to broaden their scope, and now here they are.

Like most things they do it was the brainchild of Dave, who managed to get Dan excited enough to actually do something. Anthony came on board after a bit, which was fitting as he got the two of them into both Halo and video game journalism. He had a podcast of his own, the Digital Ensemble, which explains why there is one for each 1.5 writers on the site.

If they have one thing going for them, it’s a passion for what they do. This is a hobby, and it’s fun, and they’re dedicated to having fun playing and writing about games. Hopefully they’ll give you inspiration on what to do to have fun as well.
