One of the bright spots on the showfloor during PAX Prime could be Eyebrow Interactive’s upcoming puzzle-platformer Closure.
The game makes use of a light and shadow mechanic. The objects in a level are either illuminated by light or completely shrouded by darkness. The catch? If you can’t see them, they don’t exist.
“An object properly lit up is physically there, yet an object shrouded in darkness ceases to be,” said Tyler Glaiel, Eyebrow’s Lead Designer & Programmer on the Playstation Blog. “Your character can take advantage of this by manipulating lights to effectively change the shape of the world you’re in. Wanna jump through a wall? Well you can, as long as it’s in darkness.”
You may recognize Closure — that’s because it was originally a Flash game. If you’d like a preview, well, you’re in luck: It’s still available to play today.
There will be over 100 puzzles to conquer when the game hits Sony’s download service in Spring 2012. Those lucky enough to be attending PAX will be able to experience it on the showfloor this weekend.
