Here we are, at the end of our pre-E3 road. Already some of our (okay, Dan’s) predictions have been proven wrong. We’ll be doing a recap after the show to see who did the best. Until then… excelsior!
Dan – Bungie making a first person shooter in space for Activision
God. Dammit. You know it’s going to happen, and it’s going to be like the end of Mario 2 all over again.
Anthony – 3DS has Virtual Handheld capabilities
Unlike Dave’s handheld Virtual Console idea (listed below), I think a Virtual Handheld would be a better fit. Include games from all the Gameboys, Game Gear, Pocket Neo Geo, Atari Lynx… if it was a portable gaming device it should be on this service. Playing NES and SNES games would be a plus, but it shouldn’t be the focus.
Keith – SEGA announces a new system
SEGA will shock the world with the announcement of a new handheld. It will be download only and will bridge the gap between the iPhone and the DS the way Sony hoped the PSPgo would. It will feature a selection of games from every SEGA system of the past and brand new games.
Dave – DS Virtual Console finally announced
It should have been done a long time ago but hopefully a service finally gets announced. Rather than just a service dedicated to GBA games, I would hope that NES and possibly SNES become available as well. I’m also hoping that it will be available for both the current generation DS in addition to the newly announced revision set to come out this year.
