Our final day of the countdown is here and we’ve reached our number one most anticipated game of 2010. There are a ton of great games set to come out this coming year and these are the games we’re most excited to play.

Sam and Max Season 3
By this point it’s pretty safe to say that I’m an adventure game nerd. I likes me my pointing and clicking, I do. I haven’t even played Sam and Max Season 2 yet, but I’ll be sure to get on it before the third incarnation rolls around. Telltale have become a master of their genre, and after Monkey Island I’m excited to see the kind of production value put into the series that started it all.

Mega Man 10
There was only one game announcement for 2010 that made me bang my hands on the table, jump out of my seat and yell “Yes!” It was also the only one to make my co-workers stare at me in an uncertain gaze as I pranced around the office humming the theme to Flashman’s stage. OK, so that last part didn’t happen, but Mega Man 10 looks like it’s going to pick up right where Mega Man 9 left off. Inticreates did such a great job with the previous retro-sequel that I’d pay double for this one, no lie.

Bioshock 2
If you played the first Bioshock, how could you possibly not be excited to play the sequel? The game is set to take place ten years after the events of Bioshock, and it will be interesting to see how Rapture has held up over the decade, especially after your journey through the city the first time. A new story set in rapture with an all new multiplayer mode will be making its way to consoles in early 2010 and I can’t wait.
