Mega Man 10
Mega Man 9 was the abusive husband of video games. It was a terrible bastard, but for some reason I liked it anyway. Do I expect Mega Man 10 to be any different? No. No, it will still get drunk and smack me around in front of the kids. But for some reason, I’ve always fallen for the jerks.

Super Mario Galaxy 2
If there’s anything the world could use more of, it’s Super Mario Galaxy. It’s (barely) arguably the best platformer of the generation, possibly of all time. The upcoming sequel is going to add several features to an already exemplary formula, like the ability to ride Yoshi and something of a greater difficulty level. Non-fans may see it as nothing but a level pack, but those who played through the original know that would be completely acceptable. Luckily, Nintendo is good at taking an existing engine and creating something fresh with it (ex: Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask), so Galaxy 2 will likely do enough to justify its existence.

Pokemon SoulSilver
I don’t think it’s possible for me to not be excited about a new Pokemon release. Pokemon is the only game series that can still keep me this excited after ten years. Sure I’ve pulled back a bit over the last few years, but knowing that a new adventure (well remake in this case) is set to launch this year has me instantly excited again. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got to get ready for March 14th and finish catching them all.
