The next release in the Pokemon TCG has already been dated for February 11, 2009, so all you Pokemon fans only have a couple months to go before the upcoming expansion. This set is probably the biggest in the last couple years as it marks the ends of the Diamond and Pearl series, and drops you into the new world of Pokemon Platinum. The new expansion will debut a little over a month before the US release of Pokemon Platinum for the Nintendo DS which was announced to have release date of March 22, 2009.
As with previous expansions you will be able to purchase two themed decks titled Rebellion and Flourish that will cost $11.99 and boosters being priced at the standard $3.79. If you don’t think you’ll be able to wait until the February 11th release date you may also be able to get a sneak peak at pre-release tournaments that will be held the three weekends prior to the expansions launch.
